I almost had a nervous breakdown this afternoon. Thank God, I'm still alive. Come to think of it, problems will never leave us mortals. Bakit nga ba ako masyadong nagpapa-apekto? Hay naku, I really have low tolerance against stress.
I do not wish to elaborate on why I even cried. But I'm thankful that I have genuinely kind officemates who are ready to extend their help anytime I feel like giving up.
There's one thing I've learned out of all this. Sometimes, to be able to think right, you have to let go of the pain and bitterness kasi when we're too burdened, tendency is we find it hard to distinguish good from bad. Most likely, since pain leads to hatred, anything that we're bound to do is likely along the path of deviousness.
Let go and move on. Oh God, help me move on.

Changing Lanes
At this point in my life, feels like I'm trudging an endless road. A good thing happens today, next day comes a bundle of failures. Ewan. I'm beginning to feel less enthusiastic with my work, but it has nothing to do with the work itself.

The trip to Korea could open new opportunities for me pero I'm not expecting too much from it. All I need is a chance to work abroad for at least 3 years tapos, I can have my own family na. Basta kailangan makaipon muna ako and then marriage can come in later.
Kapag ready na naman ako financially at emotionally, I know God will give me that man I've been waiting for. I trust in the Lord's will. Maybe I have met this man already or I'm bound to meet him pa lang but right now, while I'm waiting for HIM to come into my life, I know I have to prepare, not just for him but for my future children.
Optimistic ba? Ganyan dapat. Aja fighting!

Grilled Chicken, My Style
Wow! New template, new color, new font....new everything!
Actually, I wasn't planning on changing these things. I just couldn't post kanina kaya ganito. What's wrong with my account ba? It's getting tougher and tougher with each posting I make.
Anyways, my day has been good so far. The greatest achievement I've had: a delicious (daw) grilled chicken that I so painstakingly prepared, from the chicken stuffing to the marinade to the grilling itself. Oh my! Labor of love ito, so it's such a delight to know that my family loved it! I now have a name for it, Grilled Chicken ala Karen! Ay panget! Grilled Chicken, My Style na lang...Wahahaha!!!!
Ah wait, let me post the recipe. Nyahaha!!!
Directions:
Wash whole chicken and let it dry for a few minutes.
Season the chicken cavity with salt and pepper before stuffing it with quartered oranges, chopped parsley, garlic, lemon grass, diced onion, ginger and butter. Sew chicken opening to avoid spilling out of chicken stuffing while grilling.
Mix orange extract, parsley, salt, pepper, melted butter, onion, garlic, ginger, vinegar, cooking oil and maggi savor for the marinade. Baste chicken with marinade. Set aside and let chicken absorb the flavor for a few hours. Finally, it's ready to be grilled. Enjoy!

I have a few more months to go pero here I am, getting all excited about that once-in-a-lifetime chance of visiting Korea. Hay, kailangan ko nang malakad ang passport ko. Shocks, I've been hearing horrifying stories among people who line up at the DFA just to get their passports. Ay naku, 'wag naman sana ako masyadong mahirapan. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.
Feels like everyone's happy for me. Alam nila kasi na matagal ko nang gustong magpunta ng Korea. Matutupad na, wala lang sanang magpasaway, naketch!
Anyways, iba-iba ang reaksyon ng mga tao kapag nalalaman nilang aalis ako. 'Yung iba ang feeling hindi na ako babalik. May iba naman may prediction na agad. Magkakaroon na raw ako ng Korean fafa pagpunta ko run. Nyahaha!!! Kung kamukha ni Jo In-Sung...Aba, bakit hindi?!!! Haha!
Hay naku, Come what may...Ayokong mag-isip ng ganyan. I don't want to expect kumbaga. Basta, kung mangyayari, mangyayari. Sa ngayon, standby lang ako. Work, work, work muna!!!!
Ay nga pala, I saw him kanina. Yes, him...as in, HIM :-)
He greeted me nung magkasalubong kami sa may TOC. Magalang pa rin naman, medyo hindi na gaanong dinig 'yung, "po" sa "hi, po" niya, ni fairness. Nililimit niya ata sadya. Hihi. Nag-assume na naman daw va ako? Hihi!!!!Naka-smile siya kanina. Aba, eh ako syempre smile din ever! Haha.
Honestly, hindi ko na siya gaano naiisip lately. Siguro dahil puro medical check-up nina Mommy at Daddy ang inasikaso ko these past couple of weeks. Tapos ito nga, dumagdag din ang Korean trip kaya talagang practically, no time to think about romance. Romance daw oh?! Hihi!!!
I still like him. Masaya ako pag naryan siya. Pero minsan naiisip ko, sana makakita na ako ng ibang gugustuhin para naman mag-move on na ako. Wala, nasasayang lang kasi ang time ko sa ganito. Tumatanda ako na puro pa-tweetums. Gusto kong magkaroon ng kulay ang lovelife ko. 'Yun na lang ang kulang eh. Romantic love. Waaaah!!!
Sabagay, takot pala ako...Ay, wag na nga lang! Ayoko pala. Ang gulo talaga ng utak ko! Nyahaha!!!!

Super happy na Mommy is 100% healthy. Kahapon, we received the good news from the family doctor. Ang kailangan lang daw ni Mommy ay vitamins para medyo mag-gain naman ng weight. Payat kasi si Mommy. Sobra! Pero at least, kahit payat, hindi sakitin.
Si Daddy lang ang problem namin ngayon. Lumabas kasi sa test na may tendency siyang magka-diabetes. His glucose count exceeded the normal range of 6. Diet si Papsikel! Medyo mukhang mahihirapan kami rito kasi talaga namang maganang kumain si Daddy. I don't think one cup of rice per meal is enough for him...Pero naku, if I don't see it possible, how can he convince himself that it is? Maybe we should all help in psyching himself up. Kaya mo 'yan, Daddy!
The doctor also recommended that Daddy undergo prostate test. My gah, muntik nang mahimatay si Daddy nang sabihin ko na sa puwet padadaanin ang pag-check sa prostate niya. I'll be with him when they do that test on him this Saturday. Moral support kumbaga. Again...Kaya mo 'yan, Daddy! Hihi!

Kanina, while we were being taught how to make our finger scans work sa lobby ng ELJ, a guy who looks (strangely, what an odd resemblance!) like Korean actor Bae Young-Joon suddenly emerged. He was about to log out pala and was waiting for us, CPI employees to finish our orientation. I was shocked to find out that my officemate/friend knew the guy who immediately left the area afterward. I instantly had a crush on him kaya itong si Ate Nitz, nag-build up pa talaga! She proudly said, “Naku, Karen…wala pang asawa ‘yun! Kapag nagpunta sa office, introduce kita sa kanya.” Wahaha! Cutie pie talaga ng guy. Maliit nga lang. Biro ni Ate Nitz, kapag daw nagka-anak kami, painumin na lang namin ng Tiki Tiki o kaya pakainin ng Star Margarine. Nyahaha!!! Ay pero, masaklap pala ang story ng guy na ito. He almost got married, kaya lang bago pa maganap ang kasal, nag-back out ang fiancee. Oh my!!! Ang sama naman! Kung ako ‘yun, never akong tatakbo. Never akong magiging runaway bride. Odv? Bride na agad ang ambisyon? Hahaha! Ilusyonada ko talaga! Ang cute niya kasi!!! Ay oo nga pala, talagang cute. Ika nga ni Ate Nitz, “Syempre, cute kasi maliit. May cute bang matangkad?” Oo nga naman...may tama si Ate Nitz! Nyahaha!!!!
I’ve been thinking about this lately. Parang it’s so hard to decide. There’s an offer to work in Korea for one month. Honestly, I totally like the idea! But the problem is, will my superior allow me to go on leave for a month? The person who’ll be sponsoring me wants to know my decision within the week. Paano kaya ‘yun? My golly, it’s so hard to decide now. Hay gulay, I leave it all up to God na lang. I’m sure he knows what’s best for me. Oh my! Korea, I’m coming!!!!
