Politics. Politics. Politics. What else is there to see but aspiring politicians campaigning as best they could to lure people to vote for them?
Personally, there's not one politician I trust anymore. Though it's not right to generalize, to me they're one and the same. I hate to say this but, when people start doubting about leaders' credibility, you know something is ultimately wrong.
Imagine this: to your right, you see people from the government convincing everyone that things are all right when in fact they're not; to your left, you see people who seriously criticize/ oppose the government each for their own political/personal reason.
This has become so much like a stereotypical drama. There always has to be a protagonist and an antagonist. But hey, I'm confused. Which is which? That's an even bigger problem we have. We do not know which truthfully wants to help and which one wants to take advantage of the people. Maybe both, maybe neither, maybe either...whatever!
Okay, I maybe a little harsh on thinking not one of our politicians want to make a good and honest leadership. Maybe there are some. I have yet to find them though...
I hate to say this but politics has become a livelihood for so many leaders. Such a shame really. I don't think it's that bad in other countries. I mean, there must be corruption in other parts of the world but it becomes secondary to helping and serving the country, first and foremost. Unfortunately, it's the other way around in this country: corruption comes first, then public service comes next...if it ever really does.

Getting Sick
I have not been feeling good lately. Maybe it has something to do with the weather. Goodness, it's terribly hot! Oftentimes, I'd turn the electric fan on, and that goes on for quite some time. Too much time that I'd often fall asleep and, forget to turn it off. And this morning when I woke up, goodness, I didn't feel any better. In fact, I feel as if I'm going to get fever, and my throat is getting sore. I'm going to get sick...but please, not now. There's gotta be some other time to get sick. Geez. I mean, there's no room for any form of illness. I need to be healthy. July is fast approaching.
Oh..I'm so excited this early. What will happen to me in Korea? Will I like my first ever trip abroad? Will I gain friends? Will I survive alone? Seems to be a little scary but, there must be a good reason behind it other than a chance at traveling: it's a step towards becoming independent. Whew! Sounds kind of serious and noble, eh? But yeah, I need to start experiencing life my way even if it's only for a month, or I'll never learn to do it alone, ever...

Letting Go
I almost had a nervous breakdown this afternoon. Thank God, I'm still alive. Come to think of it, problems will never leave us mortals. Bakit nga ba ako masyadong nagpapa-apekto? Hay naku, I really have low tolerance against stress.
I do not wish to elaborate on why I even cried. But I'm thankful that I have genuinely kind officemates who are ready to extend their help anytime I feel like giving up.
There's one thing I've learned out of all this. Sometimes, to be able to think right, you have to let go of the pain and bitterness kasi when we're too burdened, tendency is we find it hard to distinguish good from bad. Most likely, since pain leads to hatred, anything that we're bound to do is likely along the path of deviousness.
Let go and move on. Oh God, help me move on.

Changing Lanes
At this point in my life, feels like I'm trudging an endless road. A good thing happens today, next day comes a bundle of failures. Ewan. I'm beginning to feel less enthusiastic with my work, but it has nothing to do with the work itself.

The trip to Korea could open new opportunities for me pero I'm not expecting too much from it. All I need is a chance to work abroad for at least 3 years tapos, I can have my own family na. Basta kailangan makaipon muna ako and then marriage can come in later.
Kapag ready na naman ako financially at emotionally, I know God will give me that man I've been waiting for. I trust in the Lord's will. Maybe I have met this man already or I'm bound to meet him pa lang but right now, while I'm waiting for HIM to come into my life, I know I have to prepare, not just for him but for my future children.

Grilled Chicken, My Style
Wow! New template, new color, new font....new everything!
Actually, I wasn't planning on changing these things. I just couldn't post kanina kaya ganito. What's wrong with my account ba? It's getting tougher and tougher with each posting I make.
Anyways, my day has been good so far. The greatest achievement I've had: a delicious (daw) grilled chicken that I so painstakingly prepared, from the chicken stuffing to the marinade to the grilling itself. Oh my! Labor of love ito, so it's such a delight to know that my family loved it! I now have a name for it, Grilled Chicken ala Karen! Ay panget! Grilled Chicken, My Style na lang...Wahahaha!!!!
Ah wait, let me post the recipe. Nyahaha!!!
Directions:
Wash whole chicken and let it dry for a few minutes.
Season the chicken cavity with salt and pepper before stuffing it with quartered oranges, chopped parsley, garlic, lemon grass, diced onion, ginger and butter. Sew chicken opening to avoid spilling out of chicken stuffing while grilling.
Mix orange extract, parsley, salt, pepper, melted butter, onion, garlic, ginger, vinegar, cooking oil and maggi savor for the marinade. Baste chicken with marinade. Set aside and let chicken absorb the flavor for a few hours. Finally, it's ready to be grilled. Enjoy!

diced onion
garlic
ginger
butter (diced)
